To Eat or Not to Eat?...That is the Question.

So it was around 9 o'clock tonight, when I found myself giving in to my nightly temptation that came in the shape of a slice of Key Lime Pie. I took it out of the fridge, placed in on the closest  plate I could find and immediately took my first bite, without any hesitation. It's sinful taste captivated my tastbuds, as soon as, it entered my mouth. This was the best Key Lime Pie, I have ever tasted!! My fork continued to cut into it's cheamy core again and again, I couldn't stop myself. It was the last piece in the entire house and this little "taste of heaven" was all mine!!

But then, I looked down and noticed something odd in my sugarly goodness. This "something" would not only kill my appetite and upset my stomach, but would  leave a haunting reminder to always investigate the foods I put in my mouth for future reference. Well that "something" turned out to be a tiny insect (a gnat in other words) that was nestled in between one of my last remaining bites. It was baked into the pie somehow. Just by knowing this fact, I sadly, with much regreat could not finish to eat my "moment of happiness" on the plate. So I had to throw the remaining bites of this world greatest pie into the trash and take a step by in disgust.

But am I crazy? Would you have taken another bite with the chance of more of those creatures lurking in your next piece of pie hidden from your view? Well for yours truly, I like my sugary treats to be bug and insect free at all times. Well...I'm curious, what's your opinion? Would you continue to eat your meal, knowing a bug or insect had been lodged in your food, or even for a few seconds? Have you had a similar experience that may have left you traumatized or even worst, whenever you think back on that moment?

  1. No Dameon, you're not crazy. If I ever see something in my food,I cannot finish eating it.The thought of it makes me gag.
